No. If you open more than one eligible Savings Account, you’ll get this great rate on those Savings, too – up to $1,000,000 for each Account Type. For these subsequent Accounts, this rate will apply for 5 months from the day you started earning 4.50% interest in your first eligible Savings Account.
You’ll earn your special rate on Tangerine Savings Accounts, including RSP and TFSA Savings Accounts.
You’ll get your 4.50% rate on up to $1,000,000 (in the currency of the Eligible Savings Account) for each Eligible Savings Account Type. So that’s a maximum of $1,000,000 in all of your non-registered Savings Accounts combined, $1,000,000 in all your RSP Savings Accounts combined, and $1,000,000 in all your Tax-Free Savings Accounts combined.
The promotional rate begins on the date your first Eligible Savings Account is opened and expires at the end of 153 days (5 months) from that date (or once you reach the $1,000,000 balance threshold in the applicable Eligible Savings Account Type, whichever occurs sooner). Once the promotional rate ends, our posted rate will apply.
You’ll see your promotional interest deposited in your Savings Account(s) on the first day of the month after the interest was earned.
