How do I open a Tangerine GIC Account?

If you’re already a Client, here’s how to open a GIC Account:

1. Log in, if you aren’t already

2. Scroll down to the ‘Open an Account’ button

3. Under the ‘Savings’ tab, go to ‘Guaranteed Investment’ and hit ‘Add’

4. Click ‘Continue’ and follow the steps from there

We'll ask you to fund your GIC from either a linked account at another bank or from one of your other Tangerine Accounts.

If you’re not yet a Client, start by signing up to bank with us. Just hit ‘Become a Client’ near the top right corner.
