What are the ways I can use my Client Card?
When you open a Tangerine Chequing Account, you get a Client Card to use for your everyday chequing transactions. You can use it to make regular in-store purchases and get cash at an ABM – plus it features Visa* Debit, so you can also shop online, in-app and around the world, all using money directly from your Chequing Account.
Here are the ways you can use your Card:
Make online & in-app purchases – When making your payment, enter your Card Number, expiry date and CVV code (if required).
ABM withdrawals and deposits – You have free access to 3,500 Scotiabank ABMs nationwide and 44,000 ABMs worldwide through Scotiabank’s Global ATM Alliance
Shop nationwide and at international retailers – In Canada, use your Card at any retailer accepting Interac®. When shopping in stores outside of Canada, look for the Visa acceptance mark (a Foreign Currency Conversion Fee may apply).
Pay easily with mobile wallets – Add your Client Card to the mobile wallet app on your smartphone and use it to pay at merchants that take contactless payments.
Set up bill & subscription payments – Pay for your regular or recurring bills, such as internet, phone and streaming, using Visa Debit. Just enter your Card Number on merchant sites or apps where it’s accepted.
Tip: If you have payments going through with PayPal®, check if you’ve provided your Client Card Number or Chequing Account Number. Providing your Client Card Number means that if you don’t have enough funds in your Account for the transaction, it will be declined rather than causing an NSF charge.
