Ariel Teplitsky is the editorial lead at Tangerine since 2021 and manager of The Juice, our new hub for personal finance education. Ariel brings a wealth of journalism experience from more than a decade at the Toronto Star, where he was an award-winning editor, a food and lifestyle writer, and a manager with the digital news team. There may still be videos out there of him eating weird foods for money.

He has become a proponent of financial education as part of his own investing journey, and loves the challenge of breaking down complicated concepts into bite-sized pieces to help young people and newcomers become more confident with their money. “I’m a writer, not an adviser,” Ariel says. “If I come across something that’s hard to understand, then our readers probably won’t get it either, so we need to work extra hard at explaining it.”
